Connie Wells Owens: We are deeply grateful to acknowledge Connie as the inaugural donor to our 2023 scholarship program. Her selfless act embodies the spirit of kindness and dedication to empowering students.  As a devoted educator, Connie has been an integral part of Wichita State University (WSU) since 1999, serving as the Coordinator of Student Programs in the Graduate School since 2004. Her remarkable journey has inspired countless international students, particularly from India, who have had the privilege of being mentored by her. Connie's impact extends far beyond academics. She has warmly welcomed students into her home, introducing them to American culture and traditions. Many international students have cherished their first Christmas celebrations at her residence, creating lifelong memories. Connie's own academic pursuits serve as a testament to her unwavering passion for learning. Having earned her second bachelor's degree at 52 and her master's degree at 57, she is currently pursuing her doctorate. Her remarkable journey inspires us all, demonstrating that it's never too late to learn and grow. We salute Connie for her extraordinary contributions to education, philanthropy, and the lives of countless students. Her legacy continues to inspire and motivate us to make a positive impact in the world. In recognition of Connie's remarkable generosity and dedication to education, we are honored to dedicate one of our classrooms in her name. Ward Jewell: We are delighted to acknowledge the remarkable contribution of Dr. Ward Jewell, who was introduced to our school through his former Ph.D. student, our director, Dr. Tamtam. Dr. Jewell's connection to our institution has blossomed into a meaningful partnership, as he has graciously offered to support five students during the 2024-2025 academic year. Dr. Edwin Sawan: We are deeply grateful to acknowledge the remarkable contributions of Dr. Sawan, a distinguished educator with over 45 years of service at Wichita State University. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Sawan has been a steadfast champion of education, generously supporting numerous students and initiatives. Dr. Sawan's commitment to empowering future generations is exemplified by his recent scholarship award to one of our students for the 2023-2024 academic year. This selfless act is a testament to his unwavering dedication to education. In recognition of Dr. Sawan's profound impact on the educational community, we are honored to dedicate one of our classrooms in his name. Krishnakanth Batta: We are deeply grateful to acknowledge the remarkable kindness of Krishnakanth, who visited our school in November 2023. During his visit, he gained a deeper understanding of our institution's mission and was profoundly moved by the services we provide to our students. Inspired by our efforts, Krishnakanth generously offered to support four students during the 2023-2024 academic year. Moreover, he has made a remarkable commitment to continue supporting these students until they complete their high school studies at our institution. We extend our sincerest appreciation to Krishnakanth for his extraordinary generosity and dedication to empowering our students. Laura Corcoran: We are thrilled to acknowledge the kindness and generosity of Laura, a system engineer at Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Plant. Upon learning about our school, Laura was inspired to make a positive impact on our students' lives. Moved by the photos of our students, Laura graciously provided school uniforms to 20 deserving students. Her selfless act has brought joy and relief to our students and their families. We extend our sincerest gratitude to Laura for her compassion and commitment to supporting education. Her contribution has made a tangible difference in the lives of our students, and we are deeply thankful for her kindness. 

Dhananjay Joshi: We are delighted to acknowledge the kindness and generosity of Mr. Joshi, who learned about our school's mission to provide educational opportunities to students in India. Moved by our efforts, Mr. Joshi graciously offered to support a deserving student during the 2024-2025 academic year.
