On November 24, 2024, over 40 of us, accompanied by our beloved director, embarked on a memorable field trip to Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad, a first-time experience for many of us, given our financial and ethnic backgrounds. We began our journey at 6 am from school in an APSRTC bus, stopping for breakfast at 8 am and visiting the "Gandhi Temple" in Chityala, Nalgonda district. Upon arriving at the zoo around noon, we enjoyed lunch prepared by a student's parent and spent the afternoon exploring the zoo from 1 pm to 6 pm, marveling at elephants, tigers, foxes, giraffes, monkeys, and various bird species. Our return journey began at 6 pm, with a delightful stop for Chat masala in Hyderabad and dinner in Nalgonda, leaving us grateful to our school for this unforgettable experience.
On November 23, 2024, our school hosted an exciting robotics competition, attracting over 60 students. Participants formed teams to navigate challenging courses, including Table Runner, Line Follower, MOMS, and Towers of Doom, expertly designed by Wichita State University students and Shocker MINDSTORMS committee members. This engaging event provided our students with a valuable and enjoyable learning experience.
In November 2023, we were thrilled to host Dr. Hixon from Wichita, Kansas, USA, who spent two weeks sharing her robotics expertise with us. During her visit, Dr. Hixon introduced us to the fundamentals of robotics, making the experience both enjoyable and enriching.
